Police to conduct sobriety checkpoints this weekend
WEST GOSHEN >> Sobriety checkpoints will be conducted in Chester County today through Sunday. The Chester County Impaired Driving Program will conduct the checkpoints on highways that have reoccurring incidents of alcohol related crashes and arrests. These checkpoints will continue throughout the year at various locations in Chester County where crash and DUI statistics have demonstrated a significant rate of impaired drivers.

West Chester
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF >> On Oct. 15, West Chester Police officers responded to the 400 block of Clinton Alley for a reported criminal mischief to an automobile. The truck had the passenger side mirror broken off and the passenger side of the truck bed had been keyed causing deep dented scratches. The total cost of the damage exceeded an estimated $5,000. William Tyler Bower, 23, of West Chester, is alleged to have caused the damage on Oct. 14, at 2:30 a.m., police said. Bower was released on summons.
Coatesville
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS >> On Oct. 22 at 8:33 p.m., Coatesville officers responded to the Marriott Hotel, located at 600 Manor Road, for the report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated person. Contact was made with the person and he was identified as Sean McCole, 31, of
Coatesville. McCole was ultimately taken into custody for public drunkenness. He was transported to the Coatesville City Police Station where he was held and released the next morning. McCole was cited for the offense.
PFA VIOLATION >> On Oct. 22, at 2:37 p.m., Coatesville Police responded to the 700 block of Valley Road for a domestic violence call. Upon further investigation it was found that Joseph Zaleski Jr., 54, of Coatesville was in violation of a PFA.
He was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing.
WARRANT ARREST >> On Oct. 22 at 10:02 a.m. Jacoya Brazzle, 30, walked into the Coatesville Police Station to turn herself in for a warrant. Brazzle was taken into custody and processed for a DUI case and a simple assault case, both out of Coatesville Police Department. Brazzle was then turned over to a special agent with the Inspector General’s Office and was transported to a federal facility in Philadelphia.
State police, Embreeville
FALSE ID >> Robert Stephen Zurlo, 53, of Coatesville was arrested for false identification to law enforcement, driving while DUI suspended and three other summary traffic violations after being stopped for displaying counterfeit emissions and inspection stickers on his Dodge Ram. Zurlo also had an active warrant out of Delaware County.
