Robert M. Howe

Robert M. Howe passed away suddenly on November 6, 2018. Robert (Bob) worked at Arthur Andersen & Company before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer for Philadelphia Life Insurance Company, Philadelphia American Guardian Life Insurance Company and Southwest Life Insurance Company for over a decade. He continued to work into retirement as Business Manager of Saint Anastasia Parish until 2016. He was also a proud graduate of St. Joseph’s University where he served on the board of directors as well as on their Irish American Partnership board. His greatest passions were his faith, friends, and most especially, his family, whom he loved and adored.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Clare A. (nee Mullen), devoted father of Erin, Megan, and Clare Scangarella (Craig). Loving grandpop to Craig and Theresa. Brother of Sr. Bernard Joseph, SSJ and Frank Howe (Pat). Brother-inlaw to Daniel Mullen (Eileen), Shirley Howe, Michael McDonald, Francis Kelly and uncle to his 14 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Frances, brother Joseph, and sisters Francine and Jeanne.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, November 11, 2018, 4 to 7 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 and Monday 9:15 to 10:15 AM at SS. Philip and James Church, 107 N. Ship Road, Exton, PA 19341 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
