Church seeks to help 1,000 over holidays
Christ Community Church is inviting the community to participate in their second annual CCC Serves.
This December Christ Community Church is inviting church and community members to participate in their second annual CCC Serves, an initiative designed to benefit the local community. Their goal is to meet over 1,000 needs in our community, by supporting individuals and organizations throughout the West Chester area.
Organizations that Christ Community will support this year include: the Salvation Army, Safe Harbor of Chester County, Chester County Youth Center, Coatesville VA Hospital, Chester County Food Bank, local nursing homes, first responders, Young Lives, Chester County Women’s Services, Coatesville Kids to College, and many others.
Some of the needs range from baby supplies and board books, gift cards for groceries or gas, meals and baked goods, children’s toys and pajamas, gifts for teens and adults, cleaning supplies, winter coats, gloves, boots, and more. By helping to meet the needs of teen moms, or those recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, or our veterans, the people of Christ Community are looking to share God’s love in a tangible way with those needing hope and help. They believe that together, we can make a difference in our community.
Donations are being accepted now. Gift tags with specific needs will be available at Christ Community Church on Sundays Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.), and donations are dropped off on Dec. 2 and Dec. 10 (8 a.m. to1 p.m.) at Christ Community Church, 1190 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester.
