Gunman who tried to rob Valley Domino’s still at large

VALLEY TOWNSHIP >> Valley Township Police are investigat­ing an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday Nov. 7 at the Domino’s Pizza Restaurant, located at 140 Rainbow Road.

Police said that at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to that location for the report of a male who had entered the store wearing a black hoodie and a backpack and pointed a sawed-off shotgun at the victim. Upon being advised there was no money in the store, the male suspect fled on foot northbound on Country Club Road.

The gunman is described as white or a light-skinned black male, approximat­ely 6 feet tall with a skinny to medium build and was wearing a black Cham-

pion hooded sweatshirt with the hood drawn tight to his face leaving only his nose and eyes visible.

Police said the gunman was also wearing dark gray sweat pants and blue New Balance sneakers. He was carrying a black/gray backpack with orange pulls and trim. That suspect appeared to be armed with a sawed-off single barrel shotgun with a wooden stock.

FAILING TO APPEAR >> Jose Luis Juarez-Landeros is wanted after failing to appear in court for charges stemming from a DUI related hit and run accident on Feb. 20, 2016 in the 200 block of West State Street. FALSE ID >> On Oct. 28, a juvenile male was arrested and charged with unsworn falsificat­ions and false identifica­tion to law enforcemen­t after providing false informatio­n as to his identity during a traffic stop. DRUG CHARGES >> On Nov. 5, a juvenile male was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug parapherna­lia which was found in the juvenile’s possession while inside of a school. INVASION OF PRIVACY >> On June 15, the Kennett Square Police Department was contacted by a female victim and employee of a business located in the 100 block of West State Street in Kennett Square Borough. The victim informed the police department that the business owner, Robert Strehlau, had placed a video camera underneath her shared work station. Upon further investigat­ion Strehlau admitted to placing the video camera under the shared work station. Strehlau was charged with invasion of privacy and disorderly conduct.

Coatesvill­e

RETAIL THEFT >> Coatesvill­e units were dispatched to the Coatesvill­e Community Market at 266 East Lincoln Highway on Nov. 9 for a retail theft in progress. Upon police arrival Richard Hardy, 53, of the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway, was on scene and did attempt to leave the store with three large bags of frozen shrimp up his shirt. Hardy was taken into custody without incident. Police later found Hardy had an active bench warrant out for his arrest. WARRANT >> On Sunday, Nov. 11, at 12:53 p.m., constables, and Coatesvill­e City Police served a warrant in the 700 block East Lincoln Highway. Officers made contact with Glenn Wright, 57, of Coatesvill­e. Wright had an active bench warrant for his arrest. Wright was taken into police custody without incident. DRUG ARREST >> On Sunday, Nov. 11 at 7:43 a.m., police were called to South 13th Avenue for a suspicious male yelling and going in and out of the front and back yards of a residence. Upon arrival police made contact with Ian Cella-Hoffman. He was found to have an active bench warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident. He was found to be in possession of a yellow baggie containing two Xanax pills. He was transporte­d to the Coatesvill­e Police Station where he was processed, housed, and arraigned. He was given a $5,000 bail and was transporte­d to the Chester County Prison. DRUG SALES >> Coatesvill­e Police observed Arrister Hardy, 44, of the 500 block of Elm Street, in the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway selling cocaine to people. Police arrested Hardy and he was found to be in possession of powder and rock cocaine, cash, and other drug-related equipment. Hardy was held for arraignmen­t.
