Irene A. Hurley of Kennett Square

Irene A. Hurley (Cornaro), age 72, of Kennett Square, PA (formally of West Chester, PA and Hilton Head, SC) passed away on November 10, 2018. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and homebaked cookies. Her sweet and thoughtful ways have touched so many people along the way. Even in her time of illness, she always put others before herself. We’ll always remember the warmth she created in her home, the extra touches, and of course, the amazing food. Our hearts are broken and we will miss you dearly.

She is survived by her husband, John M. Hurley (formally of Collingswood), her children Kelly Liberato (Joe), Jennifer Roerty, Erin Kirk (Tom) and Brendan Hurley (Rossana). She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexandra Kolea, Daniel Roerty, Samantha Roerty, Megan Kirk, Matthew Kirk, Brian Kirk, Isabella Hurley and Olivia Hurley. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Cornaro, sister of Barbara Wilson (Gordon), Carol Cornaro, Linda Lombardi (Mark) and will be missed by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, November 15th beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 12:00 PM. Interment private. (Church is not handicapped accessible).
