Visit Santa at the Log House
The Downingtown Historic Commission will be hosting Santa, who will arrive at the Log House by Minquas fire truck.
He will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Pictures can be taken with your own camera, or the historic commission will take a picture for $5 and give you the picture as it’s printed that day. The fee for pictures is a donation toward the placement of the Minquas Cannon (Civil War Cannon) in the Veterans Memorial this year in Kerr Park.
The commission will also have the “History of Downingtown” books by Jane Davidson on sale at a $30 event price — regular price is $35 — and Downingtown mugs on sale for $8. Also this year, T-shirts with the Log House on them will be $15 event price — regular price is $20.
