Sally Ann Mastrog of Erie

Sally Ann Mastrog age 81, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge.

She was born in Franklin, PA on September 5, 1937 a daughter of the late Eugene and Vivian Breaux Fleckenste­in.

Sally graduated from Morgan City High School in Louisiana and then went on to graduate from Merchyhurs­t College in 1959 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology.

She was a loving mother and grandmothe­r who enjoyed spending time with her family. Sally was an avid bridge player, gardener, knitter and sports fan. She especially enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband and visiting Disney World.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Mastrog.

She is survived by three children, Michelle Mastrog of Erie, Michael Mastrog and his wife Anita of Chester Springs, PA and Molly Ceppetelli and her husband Michael of Unionville, PA; two sisters, Carole Jean Eckert and her husband Jack of Oil City, PA and Mary Lou Casagrande and her husband Lou of Wall, NJ; eight grandchild­ren: Matthew, Wade, Mark, Bryce, Elena, Carter, Teddy and Vivian; many nieces and nephews and a extraordin­ary friend, Tim Lewis.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church 2801 W. 6th Street, Erie, PA 16505 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge for the love and care Sally received.
