Avondale man arrested in connection with home invasion burglary
An Avondale man, in prison on unrelated charges, was arrested with the January home invasion burglary of a house in New Garden Township.
Arrested was Juan Manuel Lara-Rocha, age 38.
Police arrested LaraRocha in connection with the burglary of a residence in the 100 block of Santelli Road, in New Garden Township on Jan. 15 of this year. Entry was gained by removing a window screen and prescription medications were stolen, while the resident was away.
Fingerprint evidence was obtained from the scene and was submitted to the Chester County Detectives. A comparison matched the fingerprints to Lara-Rocha, who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges. An arrest warrant was obtained and a detainer was lodged with the Chester County Prison.

West Whiteland
Retail theft
Nina Rosado, 37, of Reading, was charged with Retail Theft on July 7, 2019. The charge was filed after officers responded to the Modell’s store for an alleged $59 theft. Rosado was issued a non-traffic citation and released.
Drug charges
Stephanie Ledsome, 37, of Downingtown, was charged with violations of the Drug Device and Cosmetic Act and Public Drunkenness on July 7, 2019. The charges were filed after officers responded to the IHOP for a disturbance. Officers made contact with Ledsome who was employed at the establishment. Ledsome was placed under arrest because she allegedly appeared impaired by an unknown substance. An alleged narcotic was recovered from Ledsome’s person during her arrest. She was released on a criminal summons.
Public drunkenness
Barry Corbin, 63, of Coatesville, was charged with Public Drunkenness on July 9, 2019. The charge was filed after officers responded to the area of Main Street at Exton for a report of an unconscious subject on a bench. Officer made contact with Corbin who allegedly appeared im
paired. Corbin was issued a non-traffic citation and was transported to Chester County Hospital by ambulance.
DUI
Amilcar PinedaMoncada, 49, of Bladenberg, Maryland, was
charged with DUI and traffic offenses on July 12, 2019. The charges were filed after a patrol officer allegedly observed a vehicle being driven erratically on the Route 30 Bypass. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Pineda-Moncada who was the alleged operator. Pineda-Moncada was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. She was released on a criminal summons.
Retail theft
Christopher McCoy, 31, of Philadelphia, and Amanda Jones, 31, of Phoenixville, were charged with Retail Theft and Possessing Instruments of Crime. The charges were filed after an investigation into an alleged $159 theft from the Kohl’s store on July 15, 2019. McCoy and Jones were identified as the suspects and were subsequently charged.
McCoy was being detained at Montgomery County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges and a criminal summons was issued to Jones.
Forgery
Angel Fernandez, 22, of Corona, New York, was charged with Forgery, Theft by Deception and Receiving Stolen Property. The charges were filed after an investigation into alleged counterfeit currency that was passed at three different stores in the Exton Square Mall on June 25, 2019. Fernandez was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest. His whereabouts are unknown.
Drug charges
Justin Allen, 26, of Coatesville, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on July 18, 2019. The charges were filed
after Allen appeared at District Court 15-4-03 for a preliminary hearing. Allen was arraigned on earlier charges and was detained when he was unable to post bail. The contraband was allegedly recovered from his person following his detention. He was remanded to Chester County Prison because he was unable to post bail for the original charges.
Retail theft
Denys Lloyd, 34, of Parkesburg, and Candice Reining, 38, of Coatesville were charged with Retail Theft on July 18, 2019. The charges were filed after officers responded to the Walmart store for an alleged $59 theft. Lloyd was issued a non-traffic citation and released. Reining was additionally charged with possession of alleged drug paraphernalia. She was released on a criminal summons.
