Jennersville Hospital partners with county for presentation on opioid epidemic
WEST GROVE » Jennersville Hospital will partner with the Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services and Good Fellowship EMS to present a community event on the opioid epidemic in Chester County on Tuesday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at Avon Grove Intermediate School.
The event will educate attendees on the current state of addiction in our community. In addition, Good Fellowship EMS will provide practical information on how to recognize an overdose, administer Naloxone (Narcan), and access treatment in Chester County. Attendees may also receive one dose of Naloxone for free, while supplies last.
Presenters for the event will include, Claire Mooney DNP, MBA, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, President & CEO, Jennersville Hospital, Kate Genthert, Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services and Ethan Healey, Good Fellowship EMS, Project Naloxone Coordinator.
Chester County continues to see too many accidental deaths due to overdose. “The occurrence of accidental opioid overdoses in our community is a constant reminder that we need to support all efforts to combat this crisis,” said
