Jennersvil­le Hospital partners with county for presentati­on on opioid epidemic

WEST GROVE » Jennersvil­le Hospital will partner with the Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services and Good Fellowship EMS to present a community event on the opioid epidemic in Chester County on Tuesday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at Avon Grove Intermedia­te School.

The event will educate attendees on the current state of addiction in our community. In addition, Good Fellowship EMS will provide practical informatio­n on how to recognize an overdose, administer Naloxone (Narcan), and access treatment in Chester County. Attendees may also receive one dose of Naloxone for free, while supplies last.

Presenters for the event will include, Claire Mooney DNP, MBA, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, President & CEO, Jennersvil­le Hospital, Kate Genthert, Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services and Ethan Healey, Good Fellowship EMS, Project Naloxone Coordinato­r.

Chester County continues to see too many accidental deaths due to overdose. “The occurrence of accidental opioid overdoses in our community is a constant reminder that we need to support all efforts to combat this crisis,” said
