Malvern Bancorp recognized for board
Local company has announced that it has been named a Winning ‘W’ Company by 2020Women on Boards.
PAOLI » Malvern Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Malvern Bank, National Association has announced that the company has been named a Winning ‘W’ Company by 2020 Women on Boards. The designation is given to companies that achieved corporate boards with at least 20% women before the year 2020. This is the third consecutive year Malvern Bancorp has been named a Winning ‘W’ Company.
The 2020 Women on Boards annual Gender Diversity Index tracks the numbers of corporate board seats held by women among the Russell 3000 Index. In 2019, 52 percent of Russell 3000 companies were Winning “W” companies, up from 43 percent in 2018.
Malvern Bancorp’s eightmember board includes Cynthia Felzer Leitzell and Julia D. Corelli. Leitzell is a partner and president of Leitzell & Economidis PC, a full-service Certified Public Accountant firm in Media. She has served as chairman of the board of the Chester Water Authority since 2012 and also served two fouryear elected terms as Delaware County Controller. Corelli is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group and co-chairs its Private Fund Services Group. She has served the firm as vice chairwoman of its executive committee and is currently cochairwoman of its commercial department.
