WEST CHESTER » Lamb McErlane PC, a regional firm based in West Chester, and Imperatrice, Amarant & Bell, P.C., a wellestablished litigation and corporate law firm in Newtown Square, recently announced that they have agreed to merge.

The merger, which takes effect June 1, 2020, will bring together Lamb

McErlane’s 36 attorneys with IAB’s five attorneys in Newtown Square. The combined firm will operate under the name of Lamb McErlane PC and will have 41 attorneys and other professionals with offices in West Chester, Newtown Square and Philadelphia. The merger strengthens Lamb McErlane’s substantial regional footprint – and expands

the firm’s litigation, education and employment practices – while broadening its platform to deliver corporate, real estate and municipal-related practices to current and prospective clients.

“This merger provides tremendous benefits to the clients and attorneys of both firms and is a significant milestone in our continued growth,” said Joel L. Frank, chairman of Lamb McErlane. “The expertise provided by IAB attorneys will give us extraordinary depth across a broad range of practice areas that will benefit our clients.”

Rocco Imperatrice, managing partner of IAB noted that the firm had explored other options in the past and had considered the prospect of joining other firms in recent years. However, Imperatrice explained how IAB was motivated to merge with Lamb McErlane after working with Lamb McErlane attorneys and recognizing how the two firms shared a highly compatible culture and vision. “At the end of the day, Lamb McErlane really impressed us with their collegiality, regional presence and stellar professional reputation. Lamb McErlane’s practice areas complement ours and will really be a plus for our clients. The idea of merging with a firm with the qualities of Lamb McErlane was an opportunity we simply could not pass up.”
