Police arrest man in connection with armed robbery in Coatesville
A Coatesville man is in custody following an armed robbery in which a firearm was stolen.
The incident began on June 12, at 7:27 p.m. when Coatesville Police investigated an armed robbery. During the subsequent investigation, two suspects were identified by police. On Saturday, June 13, at 1:42 a.m., Coatesville Police observed one of the men from the armed robbery, Carnell Abner, in the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway.
Abner was also wanted for a prior robbery that took place earlier in June and for a narcotics warrant from Valley Township Police Department. After a foot pursuit and a taser deployment, Abner was apprehended successfully in the 700 block of East Chestnut Street.

West Whiteland COUNTERFEIT BILLS
The West Whiteland Township Police Department is investigating the passing of counterfeit $20 bills that occurred at three locations in the Whiteland Towne Center on July 25. On that date, the pictured male made nominal purchases at Gabe’s, Georgio’s Pizza and Nothing Bundt Cakes using fake $20 bills. He may have been working with additional actors. Anyone who may have information about this case or who may know the identity of the actor is asked to contact the West Whiteland Twp. Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
DISTRACTION ROBBERY
An unknown male and female made contact with a township resident at her house. They advised the elderly resident she needed bushes removed from her house. The female distracted the resident while the male snuck into the residence and removed property. The couple sped off in a black SUV (possibly a Jeep Laredo). The couple was described as a white male, approximately 50 years of age with gray hair, and white female, approximately 20 years of age. with long brown hair. Coatesville GRAFFITI
Someone applied graffiti on four concrete walls at Friendship Gardens Park, located in the 100 block of Lumber Street, police said. Police said it appears that red spray paint was used to apply emoji symbols and phrases. The graffiti was covered.
