Hersheypar­k in the Dark, drive- in concerts top the list

Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:

• The Hersheypar­k in the Dark Halloween attraction will be open for five weekends starting Friday and running through Nov.

1. Hours vary by day. The seasonal event will feature family- friendly rides and coasters, including night rides on Candymoniu­m and lights- out rides on Laff Trakk, Lightning Racer, Wildcat and Comet; safe trick- or- treating for guests 12and under with 13candy stops along a new trail throughout The Boardwalk At Hersheypar­k and Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction; zoo experience­s; Hershey Character experience­s; and fall food. One- day admission to Hersheypar­k in the Dark is $ 44.95 plus tax for ages 9 to 61( compared to $ 51.15) and $ 36.95for ages 3to 8and ages 62and older ( compared to $ 40.15) at hersheypar­k. com/ halloween. Children 2and younger are free.

• The contempora­ry Christian duo For KING & COUNTRY will perform drive- in concerts on Saturday at 7 p. m. at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, N. J., and Sunday at 6: 30 p. m. at the Bloomsburg Fairground­s. Gates open two hours prior to the shows. Tickets are available at www. platformti­ckets. com starting at $ 125per car with four passengers, and an additional passengers can be added for $ 25. Guests will park their vehicle in an oversized parking space, which will allow for social distancing. The event will follow all CDC guidelines. Due to current city and state COVID- 19restrict­ions, attendees must remain in their vehicle during the concert. For KING & COUNTRY is a four- time GRAMMY- winning Australian duo comprised of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone.

• Linvilla Orchards, 137 West Knowlton Road, Media, is offering Harvest Hayrides, Hayrides to the Witch’s House and Autumn Moon Hayrides throughout October and the first weekend of November. Hours and fees vary by attraction. Other fall activities include pumpkinpic­king at Pumpkinlan­d, pick your own fruits and vegetables, fishing at

• The Pennsylvan­ia Cannabis Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10a. m. to 6p. m. at Renninger’s Farmers Market, 710Noble St., Kutztown. • The Philly Drive- In Presented by T- Mobile, a free drive- in movie series by Philadelph­ia Parks & Recreation hosted outside of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Montgomery Drive and Belmont Avenue, is extending its run through Oct. 30. A variety of classic Halloween films will be screened every Wednesday and Friday evening. This Friday it will be “Hotel Transylvan­ia” at 5: 30and “Get Out” at 9. “Edward Scissorhan­ds” will be shown Wednesday at 5: 30. Tickets are free butmust be reserved online in advance via eventbrite. com. One ticket is required per vehicle. All screenings are first- come, first- served. Tickets do not guarantee entry, as space is limited.

• Soul Joel Comedy Club, 155Railroa­d Plaza, Royersford, presents Greg Stone on Friday, Big Jay Oakerson on Saturday and Michael Rapaport on Sunday, all at 6p. m., and KC Arora and Friends featuring Meghan Hanley, Sam Evans and Matt Broussard onWednesda­y at 7p. m. at its Outdoor Amphitheat­er. • The Tailgate Takeout concert series at 118 North, Wayne, presents the 29ers on Friday, AM Radio Trio on Saturday and and D. B. Lambert and Link Hansen on Sunday, all starting at 6p. m. and free of charge. The musicians will be playing out of the restaurant’s bay windows, with food and cocktails to- go available. • The Fleetwood Main Street Fair, featuring vendors from Fleetwood along with a chili cookoff and apple pie contest, samplings and specials at various businesses and live music, will be held Saturday from 10a. m. to 3p. m.

• Shocktober­fest haunted theme park at Willow Glen Park, 94Park Ave., Sinking Spring, expands to Fridays through Sundays this weekend. The ticket booth is open from 5to 10 p. m.
