J.P. Mascaro contributes to 96 area schools
J.P. Mascaro & Sons has announced the contribution of $825,000 to support educational efforts.
AUDUBON » J.P. Mascaro & Sons has announced the contribution of $825,000 to support educational efforts across the Greater Philadelphia region. The waste service company based in Audubon, Montgomery County made the contribution to 96 qualifying elementary and secondary schools in Montgomery, Chester, Berks, Delaware, Bucks and Philadelphia counties.
The schools will use the funds for students in need. The company did not disclose the amounts provided to each school.
“My father and company founder, Joseph P. Mascaro Sr., was a man of limited education, but of great vision, and he instilled in his six children the importance of a good education,” Pat Mascaro, president of J.P. Mascaro & Sons, said in a press release. “He strongly believed educational opportunities should be available to all, regardless of ability to pay.”
Mascaro recalled that he and his four brothers benefited firsthand from such educational assistance many years ago when they were students at Visitation BVM, in Trooper.
“I will be forever grateful to those who helped our family, and I am thankful that the Mascaro company is in a position today to do the same for others,” Mascaro said.
“It is our customers and employees who are responsible for the success of our company and who make it possible for our company to participate in and support worthwhile community programs, including educational development programs.”
