WEST CHESTER » Chester County residents age 65 and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination as part of the Phase 1B group.

Phase 1B groups and individuals should complete the Vaccine Interest Survey to express their interest in the vaccination and receive notifications when appointments are available.

The link to register for the vaccine is http://bit. ly/3ieSkrx.

Once you complete the survey, you will see a confirmation page confirming it was submitted. You will not receive an email confirming the receipt of the survey. When appointments are available you will be emailed more information to schedule your appointment.

Others now eligible for the vaccine in Chester County include clergy, corrections staff, municipal officials, educators and teachers, sanitation workers, firefighters, food and agriculture staff, grocery store workers, those in early childhood and adult day programs, those receiving home and communitybased services, law enforcement, manufacturing staff, transit workers and U.S. postal workers.

Jeanne Casner, Chester County health director, said that Chester County, through the Health Department, the hospitals and other healthcare providers, are actively receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and administering it as quickly as possible.

The Health Department will begin operating additional vaccination sites — beyond the current site at the Chester County Government Services Center in West Chester — over the next few weeks.

Alongside these additional clinics, Health Department staff are actively partnering in vaccination opportunities for groups in Phase 1B, including police and firefighters, education staff, and childcare staff. The process remains dependent on the amount of vaccine that the Chester County Health Department receives.
