Marlene J. Goddard, age 82, of Coatesvill­e, PA, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021.

Born on January 15, 1939 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Alexander H. and Edith (Sinclair) Fidler. Marlene was the wife of Arthur E. Goddard, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. She dedicated her life to her family as a loving and talented homemaker.

Marlene and Art traveled and cruised globally. She always kept active with many activities at the Spring Run Community Center and loved nightly crossword puzzles and cell phone games. Marlene was a member of the Red Hatters of Spring Run since 2007, bowled with the “Whizzers” since 2010 and a member of the Brandywine Senior Circle since 2009. Her fondest memories were hosting family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, Karen Hilton (wife of John) of Gap, PA, Kim Gregor (wife of George) of Oxford, PA, Kelly Heller (wife of Robin) of New Holland, PA and Kris Goddard (husband of Kristen) of West Chester, PA; brother, Glen P. Fidler of Winnipeg, Canada; 11 grandchild­ren; and 15 great grandchild­ren. Marlene was preceded in death by 3 brothers, George, Kenneth and Wesley Sidler and 2 sisters, Ethel Doepker and Dorothy Smith; and 2 grandchild­ren, David Goddard and Jay Gregor.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10:15 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILL­E, PA. A funeral service will be held privately. Interment will be held privately at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, all attendees are required to wear face coverings or a mask and maintain social distancing. Marlene’s service will be available via livestream by visiting the James Terry Funeral Home website.
