High-tech smart fitness studio to open

-

The Exercise Coach’s personalized programs are optimized for efficiency.

>> A new high-tech “smart fitness studio” that relies on computers and robotics instead of dumbbells and treadmills will open in West Chester next week.

The machines adjust a person’s workout to his/her strengths and weaknesses in real time, thereby helping the person get the most out of their workout and avoid injury. Owners Milt and Devon Linn will open The Exercise Coach at 709 East Gay St. in West Chester on March 2.

Outfitted with proprietary, high-tech computerized machines instead of traditional equipment, The Exercise Coach’s personalized programs are optimized for efficiency, resulting in only two 20-minute workouts per week. The Exercise Coach’s robotic exercise technology is combined with the guidance of certified coaches. The studio blends personalized strength and interval cardio training in each session.

The Exercise Coach is now considered a “smart” fitness studio for yet another reason: its value proposition regarding the Coronavirus.

Outfitted with high-tech computerized machines instead of traditional equipment,

The Exercise Coach offers highly personalized programs optimized for efficiency, resulting in only two 20-minute workouts per week that can’t be matched in effectiveness with even seven days a week of traditional exercise. The Exercise Coach’s robotic exercise technology is combined with the guidance of certified coaches to create a workout designed to be a perfect fit for anyone. The studios create a dynamic exercise experience that blends strength and interval

cardio training in each session.

Milt Linn works in marketing and sales in the healthcare industry and Devon Linn is an accountant who also does freelance graphic design. Milt and Devon both also volunteer time in their community through church groups and youth sports. Both plan to continue working fulltime in their careers while they own this Exercise Coach franchise.

“We see this (Exercise Coach ownership) as a way

to give back to the community that has given so much to our family. There is a significant gap in the community for an exercise program designed for working adults and seniors,” said Milt Linn, age 43. “The integrated technology and approach to exercise at The Exercise Coach was like nothing we had ever seen - that was really appealing.”

Devon Linn, age 41 added, “I’ve always tried to prioritize my health as a central component of my overall

well-being, but age, injuries, and medical complications have really been hurdles. This business is something we felt would help us personally as busy working parents finally able to

achieve better health. The Exercise Coach is a technology based, personal training studio that will provide an opportunity to help anyone who wants to live a longer, healthier life.”

The Exercise Coach is a much safer post-COVID-19 fitness option for several reasons. It offers one-onone personal training,

workouts are scheduled by appointment only – no walk ins, employees undergo temperature checks before beginning their shifts and must wear masks, and clients are required to use hand sanitizer (provided in all fitness studios) before workouts and wear masks.

Personal trainers/ coaches disinfect all equipment

touch points before and after every session. Workouts are 20 minutes, so clients need not linger outside of their homes

“We are different from big box gyms as our boutique fitness studios have always been small, private and super clean,” said Brian Cygan, Exercise Coach founder and CEO. “Additionally,

we have adapted our already hygienic studio environment policy to further mitigate contagion for clients and staff.”

The Exercise Coach uses its technology to capture the more reluctant exercise consumer — people who are either too busy to spend a great deal of time at the gym, dislike the gym scene

and/or are afraid of injuring themselves. Rather than use their proprietary technology competing with other gyms to court the most athletic people, The Exercise Coach offers privacy, convenience, personalization, efficiency and guidance to change the quality of life for people who are less familiar with fitness successes.
