Two vaccine clinics coming to Chester County Saturday

Two COVID vaccinatio­n events will take place in Chester County on Saturday, April 3.

Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesvill­e has partnered with the Chester County Hospital and Penn Medicine to get 324 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to pre-registered individual­s mostly in the Coatesvill­e community. It is a collaborat­ive effort to increase minority vaccinatio­ns It will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street in Coatesvill­e. Also on April 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Kennett fire and EMS, there will be a COVID vaccine clinic for Kennett Square and Kennett Township residents.

Kennett Square Mayor Matt Fetick and state Rep Craig Williams are coordinati­ng the clinic.

The goal of this clinic is to reach seniors 65 and over that have not yet gotten the vaccine and anyone in group 1A that has yet to get vaccinated. There are 200 doses available. This is a solution for those less tech savvy folks who have been struggling to get access to the vaccine. It is being staffed with all volunteers.

Everyone must pre-register by calling Rep. Williams office at 610-358-5925. Volunteers are needed to staff the clinic. This includes anyone who can help with registrati­on and current and retired medical profession­als to administer the vaccinatio­n and observe post shot.
