Police arrest man who displayed handgun inside Barnaby’s
WEST CHESTER >> Police have captured a man who displayed a firearm inside a popular bar in West Chester Saturday, and he now faces a host of criminal charges.
According to West Chester police, on March 27, 2021 officers were flagged down by an employee of Barnaby’s for a disturbance. Officers were informed of a subject who had displayed a firearm inside of the bar during an argument and fled on foot Northbound on High Street. Jacob Coleman, 25, from Glenn Mills, Delaware County, was taken into custody shortly thereafter.
He was later remanded to Chester County Prison and charged with simple assault, harassment, and recklessly endangering another person.

Retail theft The West Whiteland Township Police Department is investigating a $4,382 theft from the Ulta store on March 24, 2021. Two subjects were involved in the theft. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Scott Pezick at 610-363-0200 ext. 1017 or spezick@westwhiteland.org.
Oxford
Criminal mischief On March 29, 2021, the Oxford Police Department was dispatched to the unit block of South Fourth Street for a reported Criminal Mischief discovered to an apartment. Police said, Azon Twyman, 23, of Oxford, had forced open the front door, damaged several walls and a television. Twyman was located inside the apartment by the resident. Twyman was taken into custody a short time later and charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Trespass. He is currently at Chester County Prison.
Westtown-East Goshen
Theft of bike The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is investigating a theft of a mountain bike that occurred on March 28, 2021 at around 3:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Coventry Lane, Westtown Township. Police have surveillance footage of an older white man operating what appears to be an older model Ford pickup truck removing the mountain bike from the victim’s front lawn.
West Chester
Theft of services On Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 officers responded to the 100 Block of Wilmont Mews Alley regarding a person who failed to pay West End Towing for their services and fled the area. The man was later identified as Jason Burns, 20, from West Chester. Burns was charged with theft of services, processed and released on summons.
Coatesville
Warrant arrest Barbra Snelson was observed to be walking on East Diamond Street on March 26 at 2:35 a.m. and was known to have an active warrant. After confirming Snelson had an active warrant, officers took her into custody. Snelson was transported to Coatesville Police station and held for a constable to transport her to Chester County Prison. Warrant arrest While conducting a traffic stop on March 26 just after midnight in the area of 161 North First Avenue,
Tyra Joseph of Coatesville was found to have a warrant and taken into custody. Joseph was held for transport to Chester County Prison.
Uwchlan
Vandalism Police are investigating vandalism to a private residence in the southern end of Uwchlan Township along Shelmire Road, and very close to the parking lot which services Struble Trail. The vandalism occurred on the night of March 20, 2021, and was carried out by three unknown individuals who appear to be of varying age. The same three individuals also appear to have been at the property during the day on Jan. 31, 2021, but did not damage the property at that time.
Southern Chester County Regional
Drug charges Robert D. Sandy, age 45 of Elk Mills, Md., was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and related traffic offenses, following a traffic stop for a suspicious vehicle. The incident occurred on Friday March 12, 2021 at 3:35 p.m., in the area of Sunnydell Road and Reynolds Road. Sandy appeared nervous and gave consent to search the vehicle when asked. The search yielded a container containing a rolled bill, cut straw and baggie of suspected methamphetamine. Sandy was taken into custody and processed. He was released pending issuance of a summons.
Kennett Square
Assault A male, juvenile was charged with Simple Assault, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct following an altercation, during which he allegedly struck a female in the face causing a small laceration on her cheek. The incident occurred on March 13, 2021 at approximately 12:42 p.m., in the 500 Block of Magnolia Street, Kennett Square Borough. Charges were filed with Chester County Juvenile Probation.
