Concerts on tap at Ardmore, Sellersville
Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:
• Ardmore Music Hall presents webcasts live from its stage featuring Everyone Orchestra on Friday at 8 p.m. and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Everyone Orchestra is a blissful, masterfully conducted, fully spontaneous explosion of live music created by a rotating cast of world renowned musicians and led by conductor Matt Butler. Each show is unique, as a carefully curated lineup of performers from bands as pre-eminent as the Grateful Dead, Phish, The Meters, King Crimson, Ween and Widespread Panic is guided through mostly up-tempo, danceable grooves. Hailed as “musical explorers” by
Rolling Stone, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong took flight roughly a decade ago at the University of Maryland, and the pysch-funk trailblazers have since gone on to play more than a thousand shows across 44states. The band has co-billed at Red Rocks, played halftime at Madison Square Garden, performed on Adult Swim’s FishCenter Live, celebrated the 10th anniversary of their beloved music festival, Domefest, and even earned their first headlining arena show. The concerts will be streamed free of charge on Ardmore’s Facebook and YouTube pages and at nugs.net. Donations will be requested to support the musicians and venue.
