Kennett’s Ebaugh tosses no-hitter vs. Villa Maria

Kennett’s Genevieve Ebaugh pitched a no-hitter against Villa Maria Academy Thursday, as the Blue Demons won 4-3. Ebaugh walked two batters, struck out 15 and allowed no earned runs, and of her 125 pitches, 89 were strikes. Kennett committed three errors, and stole eight bases, led by Shannon Harvey with three. COATESVILL­E 31, LOWER MERION 0 >> Coatesvill­e (54, 4-4) pounded out 24 hits in this three-inning contest. Maddie Carpenter (home run, 8 RBI’s) and Jenna Rutledge (triple, 3 RBI’s) had 4 hits each. Caitlin Reynolds (triple, 4 RBI’s) and Caitlyn Hinton (5 runs scored) had 3 hits each. Olivia Springer also homered. AVON GROVE 9, SUN VALLEY 2 >> The Red Devils’ attack was led by Cait Long (2-for-4, double), Lauren O’Neill (2-for-4) and Taylor Morris (tri-ple). Starting pitcher Maddie Grablewski struck out

10 batters and al-lowed only three hits. Freshman pitcher Payton Hale entered the game in the 6th inning, retiring the six batters she faced on strikeouts.
