Frances S. Shesko, 79, of Coatesvill­e died Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of Robert Shesko with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesvill­e, she was the daughter of the late Max and Agnes Repak Sushinski, Sr. Frances was a life-long member of St. Joseph’s Church of Coatesvill­e and the Women’s Club of the church.

She was very involved and lived for her family always cooking the family favorites and she was the beloved “Mema” to everyone. When not cooking, she found time to work on ceramics, read romance novels, shop for the Christmas season and watch her favorite TV shows of “The Voice”, “American Idol”, “Dancing With The Stars” and the Hallmark channel.

Surviving her are her daughters, Cyndi (Jim) Griffin and Kathryn A. (Chris A.) Castle; two sisters and a brother. Also surviving are her six grandchild­ren, Shannon Byard, Ryan Griffin, Lauren Griffin, Colleen LaPorta, Peyton Griffin and Talia Castle and seven great grandchild­ren, Finnian Byard, Harlan Byard, Regina Griffin, Aileen Byard, Jimmy Griffin, Raeghan Byard and Nora Rose LaPorta.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Peter’s Church, 2835 Manor Road, Coatesvill­e. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Coatesvill­e.

Please note that masks and social distancing rules will be followed at the church.
