Mary Beryl “M.B.” Werkheiser Jordan
Mary Beryl “M.B.” Werkheiser Jordan of Malvern, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the age of 95. M.B was predeceased by her beloved husband of 72 years, James J. Jordan in 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. M.B. was a graduate of Lansdowne High School and she attended the University of Wisconsin. She was secretary of the Great Valley High School until she resigned her position in 1970 and went to work for her husband’s CPA firm for the next 17 years.
M.B. was a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Women. She also served over 400 volunteer hours at Paoli Hospital.
They moved to Naples, FL in 1993, and she was a member of Moorings Presbyterian Church and a member of the Sarah Circle. In Naples, she volunteered for 10 years with the Conservancy of Naples and Collier Harvest. They returned to Malvern and Paoli Presbyterian church in 2009.
M.B. had an avid love of music and sports. She played the piano and cello and loved tennis and golf.
M.B. is survived by her daughter, Deena Serafin, of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Meryl (Charles “Jeff”) Moore, Portsmouth, RI; daughter, JoAnn (Brian) Boham of Marietta, GA; son, Charles (Denise) Jordan of Downingtown, PA; and son, William (Ellen) Jordan with whom she lived. She is survived and dearly loved by 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
