Elaine M. Chalmers

Elaine M. Chalmers ascended on October 2nd, 2021, peacefully in her home at the age of 68.

She was born July 18th, 1953, the daughter of the late Sidney Chalmers and Mildred McLeod.

Elaine loved the arts and was an avid reader and published writer. A woman of great humor who knew how to have a good time. She leaves a lasting impression on all those who have come into contact with her. Her last years were spent happily being called “Nanny”.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Audrey Chalmers Taylor and Antonia Williams both of West Chester. A brother, Reverend Sidney Chalmers, of Norris, South Carolina.

Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Jason Chalmers of Pottstown, Thea Chalmers of York, and Shavon Taylor (Lewis) of West Chester. Grandchildren, Paris Jones of Coatesville, Pa, Siani Chalmers of Harrisburg, Pa, Michael Chalmers of York, Pa, and Audrey Shepherd of West Chester.

Great Grandchildren, Ava Riely-Jones of West Chester, Pa, Owen and Micah Jones of Coatesville, Pa, and Aubrey Simmons of Glenn Mills. Sisters: Ella Walker of Coatesville and Antionette Mack of West Chester; brother Russel Chalmers, of New Jersey.
