Ernest Lawrence “Larry” Hoscheid

Ernest Lawrence “Larry” Hoscheid, 60 of Kirkwood, formerly of Chester County, passed away at his home on Monday, August 8, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Gibson) Morris, with whom he shared 6 years of marriage.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Pearl E. (Kite) McCahon, of Lancaster, and the late Richard L. Hoscheid.

Larry was a graduate of West Chester East High School, class of 1980. Following graduation, Larry found employment in the food service industry as a line cook, mainly for Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, working in this field for 40 years. A man of diverse

interests, he enjoyed reading books and following professional wrestling.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three stepsons, James Justis, husband of Dawn, of Franklin Township, NJ, Gregory Morris, husband of Amanda, of Newark, DE, and Tyler Morris, husband of Annie, of Middletown, PA; a sister, Velvet Cober, wife of Pete, of Alabama; a brother, Richard

Hoscheid, husband of Cathy, of Coatesville; a stepbrother, Christopher Fries, husband of Emily, of Coatesville; and step-grandchildren, Danny, Sophia, Austin, Mackenzie, and Makayla. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Hoscheid, in 2010.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Dewald Funeral &

Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA 17566, with a viewing at the funeral home from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Interment will be private.
