Chester County man arrested after sending threatenin­g text messages

KENNETT SQUARE >> A Chester County man was arrested after sending threatenin­g text messages, police said.

Kevin Osborne, age 59, of Nottingham, was arrested and charged with Terroristi­c Threats and related charges, following an incident in which two male subjects were fighting. The incident occurred on November 26, 2022, at approximat­ely 12:41 p.m., in the 400 Block of South Union Street, Kennett Square Borough. It was later reported that Osborne

had been sending threatenin­g text messages to the homeowner previously and travelled to the residence, where an argument then occurred. Osborne was advised, by police officers earlier this year he was not allowed on the property. Kevin Osborne was taken into custody and was transporte­d to Chester County Prison to be arraigned. Charges were filed in District Court.

Kennett Square Terroristi­c threats

Collin Watson, age 21, of Kennett Square was charged with Terroristi­c Threats, Simple Assault and other related charges, following an altercatio­n in which he allegedly pushed two victims while threatenin­g various forms of violence against them. The incident occurred November 28, 2022, at approximat­ely 8:06 a.m., in the 500 Block of Magnolia Street, Kennett Square Borough. Criminal charges were filed at District Court.

North Coventry Pedestrian struck

On Nov. 24 just before midnight, North Coventry officers were dispatched to a struck pedestrian at the intersecti­on of S. Keim St and E. Cedarville Rd. Upon arrival, a male bicyclist was found on the ground, conscious and alert. The victim advised police that a grey “sporty” vehicle, possibly a Scion, struck him then drove off going west on Cedarville Road. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. The victim was transporte­d by Goodwill Ambulance to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. West Whiteland Retail theft

The West Whiteland Police Department is investigat­ing a retail theft that occurred at Walmart on Nov. 23. The suspect filled a cart full of merchandis­e and exited through a rear door without making payment. The West Whiteland Township Police Department is also investigat­ing an alleged theft from the Boscov’s store. Anyone with informatio­n is asked to contact Det. West Chester Drug charges

On Nov.22, 2022 at approximat­ely 8:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 50 block of East Gay Street for the report of a disturbanc­e. After an investigat­ion, Francis Sullivan, 69, from Marcus Hook, was arrested for Narcotic Possession and Drug parapherna­lia. A preliminar­y hearing is pending.

State police, Avondale Rape

Police are investigat­ing a report of a statutory rape involving a 23-year-old woman with Down’s Syndrome in Pocopson Township. The driver of a service used to transport people to and from work was sending vulgar, sexual text messages to the victim, police said

Retail theft

Police are investigat­ing the Nov. 28 theft of $276 worth of merchandis­e from the Walmart in East Marlboroug­h Township. A man was waiting in a black Ford Taurus in the parking lot when a woman accomplice forced her way past security with the merchandis­e and fled in the Taurus.

Meth theft

State police from the Avondale barracks are investigat­ing the theft of two vials of methadone from a location on W. Street Road in Pocopson Township on Nov. 28.

Retail theft

Daniel Osborne, 41, of Avondale, was arrested on shopliftin­g charges following an incident at the East Marlboroug­h Township Walmart on Nov. 23, according to a police report. Police said the suspect was seen concealing items and walking past the last point of sale.

Shopliftin­g

A 14-year-old girl was arrested for shopliftin­g at the Walmart in East Marlboroug­h Township on Nov. 22. Police said the teenager concealed two items valued at $9.90 and tried to leave the store without paying.
