The owner of Moe’s Southwest Grill at the Exeter Commons Shopping Center in Exeter Township has announced that Jan. 14 will be the location’s final day in business.

Travis Odom announced the closure Friday afternoon on the fast-casual restaurant’s Facebook page.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close our Exeter location this Sunday 1/14 after 10 amazing years. We have decided not to renew our lease,” Odom said in the post. “We cannot thank the Exeter community enough for all you have done over the years!”

The post quickly began receiving comments from customers.

According to the Facebook page, the restaurant’s hours on Sunday are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Exeter location of Moe’s was Odom’s second Berks County location — the first is in Wyomissing at 1070 Berkshire Blvd. In his Facebook post, Odom invited customers to visit the Wyomissing location.

Over the years, Odom has expanded the number of Moe’s franchises, ultimately owning and operating 12 Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurants in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, including the two in Berks, one in Montgomery and one in Delaware counties.

Recently, Odom and his wife, Cortney, along with their business partners opened Pennsylvania’s first 7 Brew location. The drivethru coffee shop opened in October at the Spring Market Shopping Center in Sinking Spring. Cortney Odom is the operator of the 7 Brew. She told MediaNews Group that Travis Odom will be working on the real estate side of the new franchise enterprise helping to identify future locations.

In November, Odom was elected to the Exeter School Board.
