Martha Moriarty Darpino

Martha Moriarty Darpino, longtime resident of Malvern, PA, passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born on August 26, 1943, in Malvern to the late Francis X. and Anne O’Donnell Moriarty. Martha was the beloved wife to the late Joseph “Lindy” Darpino.

Martha lived many years in Landisville, NJ where she and Lindy raised their daughters. She had many interests but especially education and attended Atlantic Community College where she graduated with high honors. Her work experiences positioned her to be a strong inspiration to her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of her grandchildren attending Dartmouth College and Tufts University. Martha was quickwitted and excelled in bringing laughter to those around her.

Martha is survived by her daughters Dianne Dennis (Tyler) and Denise Darpino and grandchildren Madeline Duhnoski and Colin Duhnoski. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Gallagher (Joseph) and Mary Lou Chappell (John); brothers Michael Moriarty and Timothy Moriarty; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Swinehart, Annabelle Braccia (the late Nicholas), and Catherine Venezia (the late Leonard Sr.), and brothers Frank “Sonny”(the late Kate) Moriarty and John Moriarty (the late Patricia).

Relatives and friends are invited to Martha’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
