Crime event unites city, community
National Night Out, Aug. 2 this year, brings law enforcement officers, emergency personnel and the public together to learn about neighborhood crime, crime prevention tips, safety at home and creating neighborhood watch groups while having fun in a relaxed atmosphere.
Put together your own neighborhood block-party get-together or find one from a sampling of events in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Lancaster and West Hollywood. Remember to turn on your front porch light as a symbol of public awareness for the annual event.
