Attorney denies Costner `difficult' in `Yellowstone'

-

Kevin Costner's attorney is rebutting claims the actor has made things difficult in the latest season of Paramount's hit show, “Yellowstone.”

Attorney Marty Singer denied that the actor shortened the amount of time he was willing to work on location in Montana.

“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of Season 5 of `Yellowstone' is an absolute lie,” Singer told Puck in a story published Tuesday. “It's ridiculous and anyone suggesting it shouldn't be believed for one second.”

The remarks follow rumors from this month that Costner, who stars as ranch owner John Dutton in the series, may be leaving the show due to issues surrounding “disagreements over shooting schedules,” as first reported by Deadline.

The report also said showrunner Taylor Sheridan plans to potentially wrap “Yellowstone” in its current form and launch a franchise that would continue the Dutton family's story and possibly star Matthew McConaughey.

A Paramount spokesperson also told Deadline that, while the studio had no news on Costner's status, it would “love to partner” with McConaughey as the series continues. The story published by Puck explained the plan for Season 5 of the series had expanded from 10 to 16 episodes, but Costner had previously negotiated his shooting window down in a way that would complicate production.

Doing the Oscars made Emma Thompson sick

We're in the midst of awards season, but the experience might not be as joyful or glamorous as many viewers think.

Emma Thompson has two Academy Award wins to her name, but she's revealed that the Oscars left her feeling “seriously ill.”

The British actress, who stars as Miss Trunchbull in “Matilda the Musical” on Netflix, was responding to a question about whether she has found fame “difficult to grapple with” in an interview with the Radio Times. “Both times I had to do the Oscars I got seriously ill. I found the pressure and glare of it too much. It's astonishing — and then afterwards you want to lie down in a dark room. You think, `Please don't ask me any questions or make me talk about myself.'”

She added: “I quickly developed a sort of allergy to that part of the job. I'm lucky — I think it must be awful if you're James Bond.”.
