Oilers' win streak reaches 15 in a row

Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist, backup Calvin Pickard made 27 saves for his fifth career shutout and the Edmonton Oilers won their 15th straight game with a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.

Zach Hyman also scored and Leon Draisaitl had three assists for the Oilers, who are just the fifth team in NHL history to win 15 or more consecutiv­e games. The 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins hold the NHL record with 17 wins in a row.

The Oilers are 23-3-0 in their last 26 games and have gone a franchise-record 13 consecutiv­e games allowing two or fewer goals.

Nikita Kucherov had a goal and two assists to retake the NHL lead in points and Steven Stamkos recorded his 1,100th career point with a power-play goal as Tampa Bay beat Arizona.

Kucherov increased his season point total to 83 and moved ahead of Colorado's Nate MacKinnon (82). Kucherov also reached 50 assists in fewer than 50 games for the third time in his career, one of only nine players to accomplish the feat.

Alex Lyon made 29 saves for his third career shutout, Andrew Copp scored his 100th goal and Detroit silenced slumping Philadelph­ia.

Dylan Larkin scored, extending his point streak to 10 games, Mortiz Seider also had a goal and Lucas Raymond added two assists.

Brad Marchand scored at 1:48 of overtime and Boston edged Ottawa.

David Pastrnak and Trent Frederic also scored for the Atlantic Divisionan­d Eastern Conference­leading Bruins.

Sean Monahan scored his second goal of the game with 2:12 remaining as Montreal beat New York.

Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield each had a goal and an assist for Montreal, which snapped a threegame losing streak. Sam Montembeau­lt stopped 43 shots and was credited with an assist on Monahan's first goal.

HURRICANES 3, DEVILS 2 >>

Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen each had a goal and an assist, leading Carolina over New Jersey.

New Jersey coach Lindy Ruff was struck in the face by a puck during the second period. He stayed behind the bench initially, but didn't come out for the third period. Associate coach Travis Green ran the team the rest of the way.

Alexandre Carrier and Filip Forsberg scored 35 seconds apart to open a three-goal third period, Juuse Saros made 22 saves and Nashville came back to beat Minnesota.

Columbus got goals form Alexandre Texier, Dmitry Voronkov and Adam Fantilli to break a 2-2 tie and beat Calgary.
