Ex-Rams linebacker Fuller joins Panthers

The Carolina Panthers added free agent safety

Jordan Fuller, the former Rams player, to their secondary. Terms of the deal were not released.

• The brief and tumultuous Kenny Pickett era in Pittsburgh is over. The Steelers are trading the quarterbac­k to the Philadelph­ia Eagles, multiple sources reported.

Pittsburgh will receive a third-round pick in this year's NFL draft and two seventh-round choices in the 2025 draft in exchange for Pickett and Pittsburgh's fourth-round pick this year.

The trade came just hours after the Steelers signed nine-time Pro Bowl quarterbac­k Russell Wilson to a one-year deal.

• A woman accusing Dak Prescott of sexual assault filed a police report over the alleged incident in 2017 after the star quarterbac­k of the Dallas Cowboys sued her on a $100 million extortion claim.

Dallas police said there was an ongoing investigat­ion after a report was filed earlier this week about an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the parking lot of a strip club in early 2017.

Prescott's attorneys filed the extortion lawsuit in Collin

County, north of Dallas, on Monday. Prescott has denied the woman's allegation.

Also Dallas released linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and receiver Michael Gallup, cutting ties with two of their top three picks from the 2018 draft.

• The New York Jets agreed to terms on a contract with former Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith, multiple sources repoted. ESPN reported it will be a one-year contract that could be worth up to $20 million, including incentives.

• The Minnesota Vikings acquired Houston's firstround pick in a pre- draft trade, giving them the 11th and 23rd overall selections as potential capital toward their next franchise quarterbac­k.
