Bunting's late goal wins it for Penguins

Michael Bunting snapped a tie with 5:28 left in the third period, and the host Pittsburgh Penguins moved into a playoff spot with a 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

Evgeni Malkin had two goals and an assist for Pittsburgh, and Bunting also had two assists. Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang also scored.

The Penguins posted their fourth straight win and improved to 6-0-2 in their last eight games overall.

The Lightning, who clinched a playoff berth, had won 10 of their previous 12.

Connor Bedard, Andreas Athanasiou and Seth Jones scored in the second period, and last-place Chicago stopped visiting Dallas' franchise-record win streak at eight games.

Petr Mrazek made 42 saves for Chicago, which improved to 8-6-0 in its last 14 games.

Roope Hintz scored his 29th goal for Central Division-leading Dallas, which dropped to 13-3-0 in its last 16 contests.

Auston Matthews scored his leaguelead­ing 64th goal of the season in a four-goal second period and Toronto won at Montreal.

Matthews hit the 100-point mark for the second time in his career and extended his point streak to 10 games in the process.

The 26-year-old superstar is on pace for 69 goals, one shy of the 70-goal milestone that hasn't been attained since Teemu Selanne and Alexander

Mogilny reached 76 in 1992-93. No one has scored 65 goals since Alex Ovechkin in 2007-08.

Eklund buried a wrist shot on a 2-on-1 break 3:56 into overtime. He scored two power-play goals minutes apart in the second period for the 21-year-old's first multigoal game.
