LYNCHBURG — Darius McGhee hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points as the Flames (4-2) beat NAIA member Bluefield College of southwest Virginia for their 25th consecutiv­e home victory, the third-longest active streak in the nation.

Saturday’s top two scorers for the Ramblin’ Rams (2-4) are from Norfolk: Granby High’s Jermiah Jenkins with 26 and Lake Taylor’s Stanley Christian with 25.

James Madison announced that because of the two coronaviru­s positive results revealed Friday, the Dukes will not play scheduled games against Old Dominion (planned for Monday) or Coppin State this week. JMU hopes to return to action Dec. 14.

The planned ODU-George Mason game for Dec. 13 also is postponed, thanks to the Patriots’ COVID issues.
