Vote Wagner

-

As someone who is proud to represent the citizens of Virginia Beach on its City Council, I have had a unique advantage of learning what our challenges are and what resources we have available to meet them.

One of the great benefits of having Jody Wagner as our next mayor will be her experience in understanding these obstacles and opportunities on several levels. She has traveled Interstate 64 and the Beltway many times as a public servant and knows how to make things happen.

As a candidate for mayor, Wagner brings a degree of knowledge and experience in government that we rarely see in candidates for local office. This translates to leadership — much-needed guidance that is crucial to the future of Virginia’s largest city.

In addition to her talents as a remarkable leader, Wagner knows our city, and she knows how to work with others. She can and will be a pathfinding mayor, reaching out to all to help move our great city forward.

Please join me in voting for Jody Wagner for Virginia Beach mayor on Nov. 3. She’s the leader that we need in these extraordinary times.

Vote Dyer

As a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, I am very familiar with Mayor Bobby Dyer. He has led this city through good times and tragic times during his service as mayor and councilman. His opponent Jody Wagner, however, has already lost two elections — one for Congress and another for lieutenant governor.

This shows that the people of Virginia don’t have much faith in her abilities. I wonder if she thinks that after Dyer beats her, he will throw her a crumb to serve on some committee so she can stroke her ego. He shouldn’t. Neither he nor the citizens of Virginia Beach should have an interest in rewarding incompetence.
