Judith Maria Mueller

After a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Judith Mueller, 64, passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2021, in the presence of her family. Judith was born in Warth, Switzerland, on May 27, 1956. She married her husband, Peter Mueller, in May of 1983 and moved to Virginia in 1985. She was a resident of Newport News, Virginia, for the past 35 years. Judith started her food and hospitality career in Williamsburg, Virginia, working for the Marriott and then for Florimonte's Deli. Most recently, she worked as a fitness instructor at the Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center in Newport News.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents Urban and Luisa Helg and her sister Priska Stieger-Helg. She is survived by her husband Peter Mueller; son Matthias Mueller and daughter Andrea Goldsmith-Mueller (Chris); her brother Urban Helg, sister Rowitha Knoepfil-Helg (Herby) and sister Daniela Badertscher-Helg (Martin), all residing in Switzerland.

The funeral service to honor and remember Judith will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home Denbigh Chapel 12893 Jefferson Ave Newport News, VA 23608 on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
