A Hampton man has been arrested in connection to two homicides in the same townhome complex and an attempted robbery.

Police said in a series of news releases that Trishaun Lamar Boone Jr., 20, faces multiple charges, including first- and second-degree murder.

The attempted robbery happened Feb. 21 in the 2000 block of Nickerson Boulevard, not far from the Buckroe Beach area. It has not been linked to the fatal shootings, police said.

The first homicide, police said, happened at 11 p.m. Saturday night in the 2100 block of East Roger Peed Drive, off of Newton Road near Andrews Boulevard, in the Avalon Townhomes complex.

Police found Donnell Ryshad Hoskin, 39, from Portsmouth, with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Boone was charged with one count each of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling and one count of reckless handling of a firearm, said police spokesperson E. Williams in an email.

The second homicide happened at 8:24 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Newton Road, in the same complex.

Police found that 29-yearold Antoine Bryant, from Hampton, had been shot. He died at the scene.

In this case, Boone was charged with one count each of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm, Williams wrote.

Police said both victims were shot inside homes in the area.
