This game is huge for Bayside, which currently holds the fourth and final spot in Class 5 Region A. The Marlins, who upset Princess Anne last week, have a power rating of 24.8, while Maury and Gloucester — which has played just one game — are tied at 24.0. Tallwood won its first game last week over Kempsville to snap a six-game losing streak dating to 2019. King’s Fork came from behind to upset Nansemond River in a Suffolk rivalry game last week. The Bulldogs were led by QB Cameron Butler, who made several big plays, including a 14-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to help erase a 12-0 deficit. RB Bravion Campbell also contributed with two touchdowns. Defensively, they are led by Jamari Simmons and Kyree Moyston, who had 16 and 13 tackles, respectively. The Bulldogs won’t play in the postseason because Suffolk Public

Schools decided not to participate this spring. Lakeland has a 14-game losing streak dating to 2018.

Larry: King’s Fork 37-0.

Marty: King’s Fork 49-7.

Darling Stadium

A win ensures Warwick a Class 4 Region A playoff berth, although the Raiders can still qualify if they lose and Woodside defeats Menchville. Look for the Raiders to take the first route to the playoffs behind a defense that allowed no points in a 7-2 win over Menchville

on Saturday and the running of Bryce Buchanan, who is netting more than 100 yards regularly. Improved Kecoughtan got 100 rushing yards from Peyton Douglas and nine tackles from David Anderson in an 8-0 win over Denbigh. Larry: Warwick 33-6.

Marty: Warwick 28-7.

Menchville (2 -1 ) at Woodside (2 -1 ) Time: 7 p.m.

Site: Todd Stadium

Buzz: Menchville needs a win and a Warwick loss to Kecoughtan to reach the Class 4 Region A playoffs because Churchland, Lake Taylor and Warhill have locked up three of the four berths. Woodside, always tough defensively, has hit its stride

offensively the past five quarters behind the emergence of sophomore quarterback Tayvon Tyler. RB Geo Hales ran for 281 yards and four touchdowns in Menchville’s two wins to open the season, but Warwick slowed him and the Monarchs’ offense on Saturday. Larry: Woodside 20-14.

Marty: Woodside 14-13.

How they fared

Marty O’Brien: 69-19 (78.4%) Larry Rubama: 70-18 (79.5%)
