Most stadiums expected to host up to 500 fans

Want to attend a high school football playoff game?

The Region A playoff games start tonight, and most stadiums are allowing fans, athletic directors said Wednesday.

Stadium capacity will be capped at 500 fans. Schools were given 250 tickets each to make available to parents and family members first, and any remaining tickets were to go on sale to the public. No ticket sales are available at the gates, and all sales are online only at www. gofan.co. Yes, it’s gofan.co.

Tickets are $10 plus a $1.50 fee for adults and $5 plus a $1.25 convenienc­e for students.

Oscar Smith athletic director Ray Collins said tickets for the

Tigers’ home game against Grassfield in Class 6 Region A tonight were available to the public after 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Salem athletic director Mark Harrison said tickets for the SunDevils’ home game Friday against Maury in Class 5 Region A were available to the general public at noon Wednesday.

At Churchland, athletic director Mike Whittingto­n said tickets for his team’s game Friday against Warhill in Class 4 Region A were available online, adding that about 300 tickets had been sold by midday Wednesday.

Tickets for Lake Taylor’s Class 4 Region A game at home Friday against Warwick went on sale at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Titans athletic

director Bobby Pannenback­er said.

On the Peninsula, Phoebus AD Maurice Ward said his ticket allotment already had sold out by Wednesday afternoon. The Phantoms host Hopewell at Darling Stadium on Friday.

Tickets for Cox’s Class 5 Region A game against Deep Creek on Saturday will go live to the general public via the school’s Twitter account (@FrankWCoxH­S) on Friday morning, Falcons AD Jessica Horning said.
