No. 4 CNU improves to 13-0 with shutout
Four Captains scored as Christopher Newport, ranked fourth in Division III, beat Piedmont 4-0 Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina, to improve to 13-0.

The Dukes (7-9-1, 4-3 CAA) were less than 13 minutes from becoming the fourth consecutive opponent shut out by the Tribe (3-8-3, 1-3-3) despite outshooting W&M 13-6.
W&M, though, failed to score for the sixth consecutive game. The previous three had been 0-0 draws.

Emma Pelkowski’s 4-yard goal in the 21st minute gave Virginia Tech a 1-0 victory over Boston College in the Hokies’ home regular-season finale. Pelkowski took a cross from Allie George to score for Tech (10-52, 4-3-2 ACC).
Lauren Mazich and Emily Mashinski scored two goals apiece and Alex Deperno added three assists as host High Point dominated Hampton 7-0. HU (1-12-1, 0-8-1 Big South) closes its season Wednesday night at USC Upstate.
