Chesapeake and Suffolk: Closing noon today through Nov. 26

Schools

Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth: Closed the week of Nov. 22

Garbage

Chesapeake and Suffolk: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up Nov. 26. Nov. 26 collection will be picked up Nov. 27.

Norfolk: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up Nov. 27. Requests for bulk waste collection on Nov. 26 and 27 must be made before 3 p.m. today.

Virginia Beach: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up Nov. 27.

Portsmouth: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up today.

Hampton: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up today. Nov. 26 collection will be picked up Nov. 29.

Newport News: Nov. 25 collection will be picked up Nov. 29. All regularly scheduled collections for the week of Nov. 29 will be delayed one day.

Williamsburg: No changes to Nov. 25 collection.

York County: Starting Nov. 25, collections will be delayed one day until all collections are completed on Nov. 27.

Travel

Hampton Roads Transit: Today’s bus, light rail and ferry will operate on a regular schedule. Nov. 25: Bus and light rail service will operate on a Sunday schedule. The ferry will not operate. Administrative facilities, transit center information booths and the customer service call center will be closed.

On Nov. 26: Bus and light rail service will operate on a Saturday schedule. The ferry will run on its regular schedule. Administrative facilities and transit center information booths will be closed.

Mail

Post offices will be closed Nov. 25; no regular mail delivery.

Chesapeake, Norfolk and Virginia Beach: Closing at noon today through Nov. 26 Portsmouth: Closed today through Nov. 26
