The Hawks: A solid past month includes a close loss last week to Elon — which beat W&M — and a 61-10 rout of Hampton. As the win over Hampton suggests, the Hawks have produced their share of big offensive numbers. They’re averaging 35.6 points and lead the CAA at 440 yards per game. Running back Jaden Shirden is rushing for 131.7 yards per game, third nationally. Dymere Miller also ranks third in the FCS with 8.1 receptions per game, which are netting him an average of 99.7 yards.

The Tribe: After starting 4-0, the Tribe has lost three consecutive and likely has to win the final four regular-season games to return to the playoffs. While injured All-CAA running back Bronson Yoder appears likely to miss a fourth consecutive game, the Tribe rushing attack — seventh nationally at 235.7 yards per game — has suffered little. A difficult second half in the 34-24 loss last week to Towson aside, a Tribe defense that ranks second nationally against the pass (146.9 ypg) and third in yards allowed (264.6 ypg) has been strong. A return to 2022 form for third-year starting QB Darius Wilson is important to Tribe playoff hopes.
