BEST BET: RACE 8, BATKID

FIRST RACE Quarter horses. SECOND RACE

MY MAJESTY looked good two back when returning off a medium layoff. Then he tried first time winners, first time turf, and first time two turns and that all proved too much. He returns to a dirt sprint and draws outside all pace foes. Here comes a great trip. SUNSET BRANDY has big figs from 2 and 3 back. Third race bounce last out? It happens. OR is he going OFF form? Not sure the price will entice but a player nonetheless. RISKY VENTURE wants to stalk the inside speed and he could get a small duel up front if able to relax early. It would be no surprise if able to move forward a little off most recent.

THIRD RACE

ONE SIMPLE RULE is a 4YO so she is still improving. We like the move to routing more than anything. Her dam went 5-3-0-0 when routing and earned 14K doing so. Her 360 Tomlinson distance rating hints at route ability. She even has an even running style when going short and that also bodes well for two turns. DADDY PLEASE is feeling good. It took a while for her to break her maiden but maybe she got a taste of winning and liked it. LETTHEGOODTIMESROL draws inside and stretches-out. Distance breeding is better than many.

FOURTH RACE

ENTITLED STAR ran evenly on this grass only three and four back. We like that Ramgeet returns. Her Beyer top did come on the grass three back with said rider up. Lasix return is a biggie. BLUEGRASS QUEEN has some speed and that helps with this post along with Stevens. That turf try three back was promising. An early breather would go a long way. MARE OF SHILOH ran OK on this sod only two back. The rail draw might help a tad in the early ground saved department. One of many that has a shot in this wide open affair. SANTA NELLA is by a 11% debut turf sire. Her dam went 1-0-0-0 on the green and this is her first grass foal.

FIFTH RACE

CAP FERRAT is the fresh face from NoCal. Stevens gets a leg up for Mendoza and they win at 57% locally. The last time this gelding ran on a real dirt surface came five back at Fresno where he got a 75 Beyer facing starter allowance foes. That wins this, right? The only knock is that these NoCal shippers sometime need a start for their best. RHETORICAL is the one to beat. Recent figs are better than all and the top barn calls the shots in Diodoro. THE THIRD ONE is feeling good. Class jump won’t be easy but we have seen these types contend before. Most recent was a Beyer top.

SIXTH RACE

KING REZA ran better two back. His most recent was 2 Beyer points better and that was after a poor start. Distance breeding is OK and he should show some speed on the stretch-out. THE GREAT LEBOWSKI is your late threat/deep closer. Race flow is average. That try three back would fit. SPEEDY PUIG stretches out and draws the rail. We would think a front end try is in the cards.

SEVENTH RACE

WHICH MARKET has some solid grass figs from before the long layoff. Those were for a 6% barn. Now Diodoro calls the shots and he got this gelding to run a 79 Beyer when first on this sod. Why can’t he move forward? A simple repeat of most recent wins this we would think. KEEP ME POSTED has hit the exacta in 18 of 33 starts on this sod. Sure, he is a 9YO now but that effort only two back says there is still gas in the tank. A return to a winning level can’t hurt. PASTERO is the bomb. Since when has he ever liked the dirt? We remember this guy as a decent turf runner a while ago. He is an 11YO and maybe that is over the hill but maybe he deserves one last shot on the green. UNION LEGEND is by a 0 for 3 debut turf sire. His dam went 6-0-1-2 for 6K on the grass. Lone sib to try the grass is 3-2-0-0 and earned 13K (won grass debut). We shall use this guy in our supers.

EIGHTH RACE

BATKID ran OK on the grass last out until he spit the bit down the stretch. We like that team Metz
