BEST BET: RACE 6, TEAM FREEDOM

FIRST RACE

BO BEEP is by a 9% debut sire. Her dam went 11-41-2 for 139K. All 3 sibs won and 1 beat winners. Work tab is a plus. SPIN LADY ran evenly in her debut and has worked five times since. A step forward is more likely than not. MARITALPRESRVATION is your big favorite. Her Beyers are better than all but are you sure she is best as a sprinter? Or even on the dirt? The price won’t entice. VANT is by a 9% debut sire. Her dam went 23-5-4-3 for 48K and this is her first foal.

SECOND RACE

ELEVEN CENT FAINOR has the back class and lures a top jock in Stevens. Local works are fine while recent dirt start on a good track in New Mexico helps darken his form. We like how connections find a spot where this gelding can’t be claimed. A good price for those that believe. SIR MATADOR is feeling good, draws fine, and is a new turf horse. YA ANTABTTSY just likes this turf and has never felt better. More of a true closer than some of these so a soft pace could hurt some. TWO THE PUNCH is by a 6% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green. One of two sibs won on the grass.

THIRD RACE

WARREN MY BOY just figures. Lone local start which came off a short rest was solid and there is a good chance that he can improve second this dirt. Added half furlong might help more than anything. REINALD is speed and might be the best speed. He never got a breather last out at Sunland. Recent work is sharp. If you like speed then look no further. EIGHTEENCHARACTERS is the fresh face from NoCal and we see these types win all the time here. It wasn’t that long ago that this guy was facing special weights at Golden Gate. A tote peek is in order.

FOURTH RACE

BEAR FAMOUS TRIP draws the attack post and has a solid tab for this tricky distance. Maybe two turns is a tad much for this 11YO so the cut back is what we like best. THE GREAT CAPER has the best figs but they came back in 2015. Now, long layoffs don’t scare us much but this is still a tough distance off any layoff let alone a long one. Stevens for Chambers is a good pairing at 40%. A little bit of good and a little bit of bad here. SENNA has a little speed and puts the blinkers ON. Are connections tipping their cap to a front end try? Is speed doing good today? Lone distance try has fallen off the page. Real dirt tab isn’t too bad at 9-0-2-3.

FIFTH RACE

There is no speed in here so why can’t RED N BLACK ATTACK steal it? Maybe he is just too good dropping from open company to restricted? Barn change is worrisome while Hernandez isn’t our favorite speed jockey. As for what happened last out...it is why he is here. TIZ WORTH BELIEVIN has some speed and if our top pick doesn’t gun then maybe this guy does. Forget recent turf try and he looks better. FIVE STAR BERT has the best last race Beyer and it isn’t very close either. Now raise your hand if you make money betting big Beyer runners in their next race. He used to have tactical speed but prefers to make one run now.

SIXTH RACE

TEAM FREEDOM is by a 1 for 1 debut sire. Her dam went 33-4-5-4 for 42K. Both sibs won and one beat winners. Works are perfect. REMEMBER MAGIC goes for top barn and gets first Lasix. A return to a dirt sprint is another plus as is Stevens up. Ramgeet leaves for our top pick. DIGESTIF ran evenly in her debut and has every right to improve second time racing. The rail draw is a bit unlucky. MARNIE GIRL is by a 9% debut sire. Her dam went 17-3-3-0 for 40K. Both sibs are winless. AMY JEAN is by a 8% debut sire. Her dam went 10-21-2 for 60K. One of three sibs won and it did beat winners. BEAU ME FAST is by a 17% debut sire. Her dam went 8-3-1-0 for 101K. One of two sibs won and beat winners.

SEVENTH RACE

TAKE IT LIKE A MAN never got a breather off the layoff and then tired late. Today’s pace is better and we like that he draws outside main pace foe. Those tries before the layoff versus Canterbury foes weren’t half bad. We say the time off pays dividends now. MR. BRANCHING OUT is feeling great. A Beyer top last out. Race flow would be OK if the

2 and 8 duel each other into the ground. BILTMORE

BOOGIE is the inside speed. He should hold the rail. He can run hooked and is the one to beat.

EIGHTH RACE

THREE STRIKE RULE gets a jockey switch, cuts back, and has tactical speed. That might work well at 6 1/2 panels. THESHEETSGUY gets a big rider switch to Hernandez. This gelding has some speed but we think he takes back today. Beaten favorite in two straight. TROPILUK is an old pro. Second time with Natasha Coddington can’t hurt. We don’t love this post for the distance but this gelding did run a tad better last out. A full field helps exotics.
