BEST BET: RACE 5, WALLY’S GOT CLASS

FIRST RACE

A LITTLE LUCKIER figures a decent price, is better on the grass, and just ran a better than it looked 2nd on the dirt when off to a stumbling start. A 64 grass Beyer only three back. Race flow is fine if not particularly quick. For this level, it is about normal. KITTEN DE PERE has won three times on this sod. A big jock switch to Stevens today. Race flow isn’t that fast but seems a bit better than last few so maybe this mare gets a better set up today. WHO’S FOR GLORY puts the blinkers ON and we like anything different at this level. This mare has some tactical speed and is in decent form. Main knock is 0 for 20 turf mark for this barn.

SECOND RACE

ULTIMATE QUESTION might be the speed. A good post for the front end that isn’t the rail but is still inside. That was a solid effort off the layoff so a move forward is more likely than not. This gelding does like this dirt and notice that Stevens gives it another go. KARAOKE CAT gets class relief today with the drop from starter foes. Form cycle hints at better and this gelding does have some speed. Enough to hook our top pick? The stalkers and closers would love to see that. EDDIE WOULD GO is feeling good. He has never missed the board on this dirt. Deep closer doesn’t get the best of set ups though. New barn is 17% off the claim and with a flat bet profit.

THIRD RACE

SUNSET PLAYBOY went seven wide off the layoff and did make up some ground down the stretch. He has a recent work and goes second off the layoff. A new jock for this for what that is worth. This barn shows a flat bet profit with their dirt runners. I’M LUCKY just ran better and does have some speed. No surprise if he found the front end and got a breather. OR that he bounces off most recent at a not so hot price. LITTLE DEAL just ran a Beyer top. He did go favored only two back. A good post for a stalking trip. HOLD YOUR APPLAUSE is by a 0 for 6 debut sire. His dam was un-raced and this is her first foal to race. DIAMANT ROUGE is by a 6% debut sire. His dam went 5-2-0-1 for 41K and this is her first foal.

FOURTH RACE

WANNABLIKEGRANDPA is a new turf horse before everyone knows it. This gelding has a pace advantage over everyone. Few are better on the grass than the Eikleberry barn. Blinkers OFF and maybe that makes this guy more tractable. He certainly has some upside with this being only his sixth start. YA ANTABTTSY has never missed the board on this sod in seven starts. Does he have a penchant for less? That neck loss two back is more bad luck than anything. Better race flow today. TWO THE PUNCH goes second time on the turf while most recent was solid. Second time Enriquez and second time turf can’t hurt. LOGAN’S HEROE is by a 11% debut turf sire. His dam went 2-0-0-0 on the grass. Lone sib never tried the green.

FIFTH RACE

We like the jock switch for WALLY’S GOT CLASS. J/T is 19%. Any moisture on the dirt would tilt playing field in his favor. Rail draw is fine as this colt gets to save some early ground. ACT YOUR WAGE is the fresh face from NoCal.. New barn wastes little time putting the blinkers ON. Works are well spaced. JEN’S BIG O seems better around two turns or is just better of late. A tough luck loss last out when losing the photo by a nose.

SIXTH RACE

WILLOW WITCH has speed and gets first Lasix. This filly got a breather two back and won EZ when breaking her maiden. A good post to crack the inside speed and keep going. She does have some upside with this being only her fourth start. BLAZINFAST has speed but can stalk if top pick is quicker. Recent figs are solid but first time winners is never easy. PORT ELIZABETH would love to see a speed duel between top picks. Off the pace runner goes third off the layoff. She loves this dirt and gets a big jock switch to Stevens.

SEVENTH RACE

FIN DE SEMAINE has run great in two of last three turf tries with the exception versus stakes foes. Race flow is fine as long as everyone stays in especially the 1 and 8. The Kruljac barn is 19% with repeating winners. JAM N ADDY is the inside speed. Main pace foe could be the stretch-out runner outside. Jock switch to Stevens and few

are better with speed horses. EXEMPLAR tried the grass for the first time last out and ran well. Current form is just great. Here comes a good stalking trip. MASTERFUL STRIDE is by a 6% debut turf sire. His dam was un-raced. One of two sibs won on the grass.

EIGHTH RACE

INTELICRYPT is by a 22% debut sire. His dam went 46-9-6-7 for 63K. Lone sib is 20-4-7-5 for 29K. Works are well spaced. MY PESTLE is by a 9% debut sire. His dam went 12-1-0-1 for 5K and this is her first foal. We have seen this barn pop some nice first time starters. NATIVE GRIND goes second time this lowest of levels. The leading rider gives it another go. Could this guy be better around one turn? SPANISH EMPIRE is by a 14% debut sire. His dam went 21-3-3-3 for 37K and this is her first foal. SING AND PRAY is by a 0 for 3 debut sire. Her dam was un-raced. Of 6 sibs to race, 5 won with 4 having beat winners.
