BEST BET: RACE 4, GIANT’S VOICE

FIRST RACE

DYNAMIC DECISION missed a neck to Northeast Bound who posted 2nd straight win on 2/17. Been freshened, shows a couple of main track works subsequent to that try, should hold pace advantage over other key contenders if hustled along from outset. GOLDEN POINT in new hands off the claim and obviously in top form after pairing Beyers in last pair. Could not catch preferred choice when pair met, this distance, early in winter meet. TO YOUR HEALTH also exited that same race, rallied wide off extremely fast pace last time. Another who’ll need some help up front considering his running style.

SECOND RACE

LUCKY BELLA a beaten, odds on favorite in each of last pair although did finish 2nd to Battle Tale who came back and won an open $10K claimer by 4 lengths in her next start. Could not keep up with extremely fast pace last time. Looks to have pace advantage if aggressively ridden here from the outset. B L’S WAGON easily outfinished preferred choice on 3/11, has continued to hold her form well ever since. May prove one to fear. MISS VISCONTI back to more suitable spot, dangerous if able to run back to big effort two back.

THIRD RACE

HELLO JULIET dons shades once again, gets plenty of class relief coming off near 3 month hiatus. Working steadily for return. Can be along if kept closer to the early running than in last several. GRAN WEEKEND back to the main, fit well in this category when haltered for same tag earlier this winter. LOVING VALENTINA not quite as sharp as earlier in the season but still should prove formidible for this tag turning back to distance she’s handled quite well in past.

FOURTH RACE

GIANT’S VOICE, the day’s best, hard used contesting very fast pace in latest now drops to bottom, looks like he should be able to control this one from start to finish. NASSAU TALENT another getting a little class relief, may be along to best the rest. COTTON TOWN has started just once since late November and showing limited work activity on resume’ ever since. Late runner will need some help up front.

FIFTH RACE

Bit of a guessing game here with Chad and Todd rollinig out several new faces. FAST MAMA may be best bred of that group by Kitten’s Joy out of a G2 winning mare. Gets tepid nod but watching board for further clues. SHE’SAGRACIOUSLADY held form well vs. same kind in New Orleans, missed a half length to even money Mimss Emma Maria prior to shipping locally. May prove best of experienced ones. CASHLESS SOCIETY sporting steady work tab for high profile barn, cannot ignore in her debut.

SIXTH RACE

In a field of proven losers will go for the lightly raced pair of stable mates STARSHIP STARLET and STARSHIP SATURN both of whom worked together under heavy pressure on 4/8. Latter dons shades, looked good enough on 4/2 to merit shaky nod. WINNERS EXPEDITION gets more experienced plot off a couple of in the money finishes vs. similar.

SEVENTH RACE

BIG MONEY MACHINE comes off near miss vs. notch better in latest, should get ample pace to

run at if POWERLINE and VIGAS both go. Former exiting big effort when loose on lead vs. a notch cheaper, just a question of whether he can repeat that effort if pressed on early by Vigas. The latter drops to weakest level yet on grass, defeated preferred choice when pair met last summer but thinking the fact he was offered up for $6,250 tag two back might be a bit of a red flag at this time.

EIGHTH RACE

SPURS N BOWS in sharp hands for return from extended vacation while returning to what looks like his preferred surface. Recent works appear to be good enough to suggest he’ll be ready for a strong effort off the bench in this spot. MAJESTIC HEIR shows up for same connections he was claimed from in FG finale, a bit surprising to say the least, when beaten as a 1/5 favorite off well graded maiden tally seven weeks early. Not sure what to make of this one but obviously at contender at his best. STILBURNIN drops again after having little excuse as 4-5 favorite when off board here just two weeks earlier.

NINTH RACE

Another MSW with plenty of question marks due to the new faces, especially Pletcher pair of AL KHOR and Hy Brasil. Former the best bred of the pair by Bodemeister out of a G1 winning mare, brought half a million at yearling wales in ‘15 . Had bullet work on PBD tab on 3/11 that included, among others Madefromlucky and Tommy Macho. OUTSIDE LOOKIN IN turned in big effort in super key race on 3/4 that produced series of next out winners including Timeline, galloped out like a horse who preferred more distance. MR ATILA showed good speed in same key race before fading late, could prove one to catch at a decent enough price if way cleanly in this spot.

TENTH RACE

PICADILLY ROADSTER hard to fault in present form and reportedly a new gelding to boot off the claim. Looked sharp in bullet drill here on 3/30. Should be able to benefit from what figures to be a solid enough pace scenario with EASY TO SAY, Call to Honor and Splash Rules all likely to participate in the early running. Easy to Say the class of the field, chased wire to wire winner going seven furs. in latest, turns back to preferred distance, one to fear if avoiding suicidal duel. GRAND NENE has chased preferred one home in their last two meetings and another who’d benefit if things got real hot up front.
