BEST BET: RACE 1, SYMPATICO

FIRST RACE

SYMPATICO, the day’s best, beat more than half his field when dropped in for a tag for first time while catching a key race that has already produced trio of next out grads and from which third finisher was second next out for $40K. Dons shades, reunites with Tyler, should get job done with clean sailing in opener. LITTLE LEO ran well off the farm in his bow now in new hands for seconde try. Should show speed on the stretch. Older sib won only try on grass around two turns at Kentucky Downs several years back. POPYHOWUSPELCUPCAK a new face in weak category. Has been well prepped on grass at PM. Has some turf in the family. Might fit here.

SECOND RACE

STARSHIP APOLLO continues to prove popular item at claim box and why not, always competitive at this level. Looks capable of sitting perfect stalking trip chasing inside speed, be along on turn back to a distance he’s handled in past. MY JOHNNY BE GOOD likely the one to catch and another who continues to change barns for this tag. Did fall top top choice at 6 furlongs in early March. WHERE’S THAT CAT another in top form returns locally off a couple of good tries to close out Tampa season.

THIRD RACE

KING OF JAK comes off career best effort with addition of blinkers behind 3/5 Roraima, well drawn inside here. May not look back if loose with these. ROLL IT GAL another coming off a big try vs. better, open company but with an unenviable 3 for 43 lifetime mark,. Still one to fear in this spot. MOTION’S FIRST earned big fig beating up on weak bunch of N2L’s, must prov she can repeat effort with much tougher at the N3L level.

FOURTH RACE

FAVORITE HEIR a consistent sort in peak form at the present time. Just missed last time to Mystic Sky who turned in career best effort to get the nod and despite getting bumped at break, hung wide for drive. Was beaten less than 5 lengths by World Approval two back. Deserves nod if able to work out a trip from inside. D’CRAZINESS nosed out by old class runner Super Soldier in Tampa finale while finishing two lengths in front of Patrick’s Day who came back to run 2nd in tough N2X allowance race at Keeneland. Fits here in present form. JOJO’S DREAM been freshened a bit off bit of disappointing starter allow. try in mid-February, a race from which runner-u Acknowledge returned to win an open $16K claimer in his next start. Respect connections and his find record on this course and at distance.

FIFTH RACE

NUCLEAR FUSION gets shaky nod making just his second strart at the distance and first hopefully on dry land. Big effort two back vs. better good enough to beat these. BITOMAGIC logical on the drop to level for first time. Expect him close up from outset. TALKED OUT tries shades for the second time while making first start for new barn. Has some back class while having shown improved speed in most recent a.m. trial.

SIXTH RACE

LITTLE SHADE knocking on the door with this kind, figures forwardly placed from the get go with blinkers on again. May have to outlast FLYING DUDE who is also inpeak form at present but a bit of a hanging sort in her recent tries. VENTINA logical on the drop to this level for the first time but both previous wins against younger. Must prove mettle vs. older.

SEVENTH RACE

QUEEN ROLLER back where she best belongs after breing overmatched in last although to her credit she did not lose any ground late in rapidly run 7 furlong dash. Beat this same kind two back. Shaky call in a group that’s seen one another several times in past. RICH MOMMY could not gain preferred choice on 4/5, came back with an

even better effort 3 weeks later, could reverse that decision with the right trip. E Z’S MISTRESS no match for suddenly in form South in her latest. Was second in this category with a big fig on 2/9.

EIGHTH RACE

RECALIBRATING could not match strides late with Little John W four weeks earlier, the latter flattering effort returning to beat N3L’s with a 74 Beyer in his next start. Finished third behind pair of next out winner’s two back. Knocking on the door with this kind now. STAY IN CRUISE finished third behind Powerline who stepped up to win N3L with a 76 Beyer in his next start. On the improve. May offer some value in this wide open lineup. PEACE POINTS back to his favorite surface while taking big pounge off the claim. Just a matter of whether he can run back to decent form vs. stronger earlier in season.

NINTH RACE

DREAMINGOFROSEALLA looks like she’s got some early foot from that last gate drill and in a field lacking much in the way of speed might just lead these a merry chase if away running after very eventful career bow on dirt. CHECK OUT GILDA a bit of a disappointment last time as tepid favorite in a race form which 4th finisher Hold That Kitten returned to graduate at next asking. Ran well enough two back to take finale with repeat of the effort. PERFECT STATE returns to favorite surface, should be forwardly placed throughout.
