ANALYSIS

BEST BET: RACE 8, SISTINE SISTA

-

FIRST RACE

MORE MIA and ESCAPIST likely to vie for the major prize in the opener, the former getting the nod as the more consistent of the pair. Has been freshened since sharp try vs. N1X optional claimers now drops below level of recent claim. Checked early, missed a length to Escapist when pair last met two back. The latter continues to hold form well, was hung wide throughout from tough post when having modest win streak snapped last time. BONETOWN WILD gets some much needed class relief while making third start of current form cycle, may have the best chance of upsetting the top pair.

SECOND RACE

PATRICK JOSEPH ran well despite trouble in most recent try, reunites with rider who booted him to maiden win here last summer. STAY IN CRUISE just missed under similar conditionslast time folloowing extended stretch duel. Logical if able to repeat the effort. D. SHIFFLETT looks like he should get loose on the lead but a non-winning sort taken to hang on for a major share.

THIRD RACE

MISTIZ best of a very weak lot if able to show her speed, take control of this one right from the outset. J. P. CALLING a lightly raced sort getting Lasix for the first time, might wake up at a bit of a price. GRAND EDGE has hit the board in each of her last pair which makes her a major player in this spot.

FOURTH RACE

SHOT JAK ran well enough two back on dry ground to get tepid nod, especially if able to show his best speed, clear off early from class dropping GRUBERED. The latter could have a say in the early runningas well coming off turf sprint, plunging to bottom of class ladder. Must respect with this kind. STARSHIP MENACE back to the main track for just the second time in quite a while, could have the best late kick of the bunch.

FIFTH RACE

ANTHONY LASS dons shades for just the second time in her career, looks to have pace advantage if away running from the rail. Ran well on the front end vs. better, this distance, earlier in the campaign. EASTER ACT opened a long lead at midstretch, got caught late albeit by a filly who came right back to win her N2L condition for a “dime” although somewhat of a question mark at a mile and one sixteenth. CLASSIC ACT another exiting near miss vs. simlar but yet to try to stretch this far.

SIXTH RACE

EXTRAVAGANT KID gets slight edge to get back on winning track while continuing to hold his form extremely well since the start of the season. Should sit a nice stalking trip behind an abundance of speed in this lineup. Both FRENCH QUARTER and BLINGS EXPRESS to be out running early along with Coronado Again and Richard the Great. French Q. bested preferred choice on a wet strip in their previous encounter and already a six figure earner on the campaign. Blings Express first or second in 11 of his last 12 starts but most of

those races came against lesser, starter allowance company. Does draw well outside the other speed.

SEVENTH RACE

HEAVENLY LOVE by above average debut sire Malibu Moon out of a multiple G1 placed mare and a half to G2 winner Forever Dancing. Comes off good looking gate drill at Palm Meadows. Homebred gets shakiest of nods in pretty open looking MSW dash. AWESOME MASS should benefit from having had a race under her belt when finishing a tiring fifth despite an eventful run. Returned to work a huge half-mile just a week later in preparation for her second try. Is a half to many winners including four time SW Bernie the Maestro. FLORIDA FUEGO comes off her best in a series of solid looking works for a barn with good marks with 2yo firsters. Reaches out to meet’s top jock for this.

EIGHTH RACE

SISTINE SISTA, the day’s best, knocking on the door with this kind and figures forwardly placed from the outset if allowed to show her best speed from the inside post. Should stand some catching if able to clear off right from the outset. .DEVILISH ROMANCE finished a length behind preferred choice two back, likely wanted to part of the wet track last time. May prove one to beat. GIO PATRICIA lightly raced but showed enough promise in both two turn turf tries to merit respect back on sod.

NINTH RACE

ULTIMATE DUDE returns to his favorite surface and continues to show improvement with every start. Should trip out well just behind all the speed if away well from the inside. RIGHT UP MY ALLEY defeated preferred choice on a wet main track and anotherwho continues to perform well at this level. Expect him forwardly place from the outset. ROSEBUD’S HIGH flashed speed, faded late going two turns in each of his last two tries on grass, could be legged up for a big finish trying a turf sprint today.

TENTH RACE

LITTLE BALTAR has been working lights out on the main for new connections off the claim, too fast for these on his best. GLOBAL ENTRY and HAMMERS TERROR finished a half-length apart in their previous meeting under similar conditions, logical choices once again at this level.

ELEVENTH RACE

FRONT LOADED exits career best try with addition of blinkers, has been given ample time to recuperate from the effort. Improving 3yo looks dangerous once again from just off likely pace of speed BLINDING. The latter another young one who figures to move forward off well graded maiden win. Should be long gone from the rail. SIR HANNOUN a four time winner already this season, albeit again what may be lesser starter allowance types than he’ll face in this spot. Still demands respect along with General Obvious who is coming off career topper five weeks earliler.

TWELFTH RACE

CHARLIE ATLAS hung a bit late off a nine week hiatus when dropped to this level for the first time on 5/13, looks ready to graduate back with same kind if able to work out a stalking trip from the hedge behind likely pace of Indian Scout. COUSIN TINO missed a neck two back after benfitting from soft pace at a mile and one sixteenth, and another who is knocking on the door for bottom tag. INDIAN SCOUT should take this field as far as he can go on the front end stretching out around two turns for the first time. Just a question of whether he can handle the added ground.
