BEST BET: RACE 5, BAHAMA KITTEN

FIRST RACE

COQUIVACOA second best behind odds on winner in latest after chasing qujick pace from the outset. Drops a notch, taken to chase, run down likely pace setter WILDCAT WAVE at her best. The latter back to her preferred surface after disappointing in first outing in slop. Beat this same kind two back, looks like one to catch again. KISS THE CROWN no match for rival who ran far and away a career best effort under these same conditions on 6/1, should have dead aim on the leaders from outset.

SECOND RACE

GET A ROOM might prove best of a well matched and relatively weak lot of bottom level conditions claimers if able to work out a trip under her new rider dropping into the category for the first time and returning to what may be her preferred surface. MISS HIGH TIDE just missed following stretch long duel over a wet track last time and another getting a big rider change while also better suited to dirt than turf. FEELING AWESOME stretches out to a distance she won at in the past, would be most dangerous if able to clear the inside speed and control things ala that easy win here a year ago.

THIRD RACE

EXCLUSIVE REWARD checked early, turned in even effort while putting the shades back on last time and holding his form reasonably well with this kind. May finally be ready to graduate if able to work out a trip. NEVER BURN A COPY winless in 15 tries only one of which, however, came for this tag on grass. Well drawn inside. LE KYBALION no m atch f or preferred choice earlier this spring but should come running for at least a share.

FOURTH RACE

FOR THE FAM a promising looking new face debuting against a soft bunch of lower level claimers. Flashed sharp speed on a couple of occasions earlier this month and barn can havae one ready off the bench. Certainly has enough works under her belt to be fit off the bench even at six furlongs. DANCING QUEENIE just missed, this distance earlier this month and the logical choice off that effort although have to wonder how much that performance was influenced by the wet track. BUY TWAY MAY ran well enough for higher tag last fall at GPW to merit respect returning in this easier spot.

FIFTH RACE

BAHAMA KITTEN, the day’s best, dropped too far back off a slow pace, could not make up the ground on VENTINA going a mile on 6/17 but gets a little more distance to work with in the rematch and taken to reverse that decision at her best. Ventina the obvious choice off that last showing but returning on less than two weeks rest off what was a career best Beyer effort. Eligible to bounce a bit at a short price. LITTLE SHADE hard to fault in current form but stepping up against much better after defeating soft bunch of N2L’s last time.

SIXTH RACE

FORMAN THE FOREMAN held own with much better than he’ll face in this spot unless one of the firsters can really run, having caught Pletcher’s stakes caliber The big fundamental last time and run second against a solid bunch on 1/11. Should be able to sit the perfect stalking trip outside speed of Go Gone Gone and Green Mansions, taken to pick up the leaders on turn back to this distance. SWEAT and MR. SIXTY SIX have both shown a lot of promise in the a.m., might be good enough right off the bench. Golani also has some big works on his resume’ but don’t like the four week gap between last two drills.

SEVENTH RACE

KINGSTON TERRACE an old pro who seems to be cycling back to top form at the prsent time. Was not badly beaten by the 6/5, 5 times winner My Sweet Dove last time. WAVES OF BLUE showed promise in turf bow when showing good speed

against decent bunch seven weeks earlier, may ultimately prove one to catch. SILVER SASHAY another veteran turf sprinter with a slew of wins on her resume’ at this track and distance. Must avoid getting hung out to dry a bit from the post.

EIGHTH RACE

ENDERS CAT has won three of his last four and obviously much improved since moving to this barn and more than proven at a one turn mile. Gets slight edge with expected stalking trip to get the better of likely favorite JAIDEN’S BEST. The latter has done even better, winning five of his last six and another who like the distance. Strictly one to fear. AMBERJACK returns to a surface he’s handled well in the past. A bit pace dependent but his best dirt effort makes him good enough to upset the top pair.

NINTH RACE

CAPE FEAR made a little middle move, could not quite match strides late with the more experienced CONQUEST SORCEROR in pair’s previous meeting, but galloped out past that one after the wire and likely to improve from the effort. Should offer a little more value in what appears a two horse race for the top slot. Conquest S. winless after a dozen tries but only one for this tag and strictly the one to beat wheeling right back for $20K. BLEEDING HEART may be an interesting new face to the lineup making turf bow and with enough speed to be on or with pace throughout. By Broken Vow and a half to $189K turf earner Nicky’s Brown.
