BEST BET: RACE 4, DRAGON’S CRY

FIRST RACE

LUCKBE TANYA is going to an open $25K claimer, after beating NW3 $40K/OS allowance rivals with the addition of blinkers July 14. DUBLIN DIVA was all-out to beat $20K NW3 stock after racing wide when halving in value June 21. She should be a factor off the McKnight claim. ALILACTION tracked a slow pace en route to a daylight score over $16K opposition following a freshening July 7.

SECOND RACE

SCHLOSS SCHNEEBERG lacked room along the inside before closing from seventh to third in a shorter sprint at this rock bottom level three weeks ago. He doesn’t have much to beat in this seven-furlong event under regular rider Crawford, who was aboard for his maiden victory. RED SEPTEMBER is dropping off his fourth straight double-digit loss to where he figures to wake up. The addition of blinkers might help him to get him in the game as he turns back from nine furlongs. FIERY BEAR is also getting some class relief off some poor performances, and second-leading rider Hernandez picks up the mount.

THIRD RACE

GLIB MARYLIN came from fourth to just miss in a slow-paced, nine-furlong route at this $20K NW2 class three weeks ago. Wilson retains the mount on the improving 4yo. SCATTER THE SILVER is taking a significant drop from $40K for her second try off a $20K maiden score, with top jock Da Silva climbing aboard for the first time. WINNING SMILE is going long for the first time in her first turf assignment, and is bred for the task at hand. TRIPLE CHOCOLATE is among a host of frontrunners in the lineup.

FOURTH RACE

DRAGON’S CRY took the long way home while closing from mid-pack to lose the June 25 Bold Ruckus Stakes by a head under Boulanger. The stakes winner has lots of speed to chase in this NW3 OS allowance/$40K claimer. MARTEN RIVER set lively fractions before fading to third behind the upwardly mobile Circle of Friends and stakes winner Uncle B in a recent stakes for 3yos on the main track. The son of good grass sire Silent Name could get the better of SINGANDCRYINDUBAI in the projected front-end battle. The latter, who’s unbeaten in two Tapeta excursions, is also by a successful turf sire, Victor’s Cry, who was a G1 winner on the lawn. SUNNY’S RAINBOW is out of a mare who captured both of her turf starts.

FIFTH RACE

MEGA FINALE stalked in second before fading to fourth second-time out vs. $20K maidens in his last race May 17. He’s plunging to the lowest maidenclaiming level under the new bug Fukumoto, who won’t carry a whip. KINDA CHAOTIC cracked the top three for the first time when a belated third in a $12.5K contest three weeks ago. MISSED HIM is plunging from a $25K turf sprint for his second outing after an eight-month absence, to where he probably belongs. SILKEN THOMAS had quite a wide trip last time when fourth at this price.

SIXTH RACE

CONQUEST CAVALRY was blocked on the far turn before making up ground to finish a close third as the favorite in his latest. He was previously second to the talented Neveah’s Valentine, with a career best 81 Beyer. NEW SENSATION rallied four-wide from off slow fractions to prevail in a recent N1X. She’s taking on the boys after working a bullet five-eighths, and is a good fit from a Beyer perspective. ARTHUR’S PASS disappointed as the chalk in a recent turf tilt, but he beat the top pick in a head loss the time before on the main track. He’s a must-use underneath in the exotics, along with AMBERWOOD.

SEVENTH RACE

HOLDONWEREGOINHOME is taking a noteworthy drop to $20K, while switching from turf to the Tapeta, and has probably found her proper place in the scheme of things. AFLEET DOLL, who always wears bar shoes, was a non-threatening fifth in a recent turf experiment. She’s finished second on
